Dioramawedstrijd Spelregels / rules

Na het succes van vorig jaar organiseert de beurscommissie ook dit jaar weer een tegeldioramawedstrijd. Het thema voor dit jaar is zaaien, planten en poten.

Dit thema sluit mooi aan op het thema van de afgelopen beurs. Denk hierbij aan diverse soorten manieren van zaaien, zoals gras, tarwe, bieten, enzovoort. Natuurlijk valt ook pootwerk onder dit thema. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn het poten van aardappels, spruitjesstekken of bloembollen.

En bij planten kan je denken aan bijvoorbeeld het aanplanten van een boomgaard.

Natuurlijk zijn er uitzonderingen te bedenken. Tip vanuit ons: houd je duidelijk aan het thema, zodat bezoekers in één oogopslag kunnen zien welk thema je tegeldiorama uitstraalt. Uitzonderingen en grensgebieden op het thema zijn te bedenken, maar beter is het om die niet op te zoeken.

Denk daarbij aan schoffelen of chemische bestrijding e.d. Dit soort werkzaamheden valt niet onder het thema en zullen daarom ook niet worden beoordeeld. Om mee te doen met de wedstrijd is het dus belangrijk om je je aan het thema te houden.

Het thema biedt naar onze mening voldoende mogelijkheden om er weer een uitdagend en prachtig geheel van te maken!

Aanmelden

Ben je geïnspireerd en kan je niet wachten om te beginnen aan je tegeldiorama? Je kan je hiervoor aanmelden door een e-mail te sturen naar beurs@agritoy.nl  Je kan dit mailadres ook gebruiken voor vragen of opmerkingen over de tegeldioramawedstrijd.

Geef in de mail duidelijk aan: je naam en dat je mee wilt doen aan de dioramawedstrijd 2026.

Aanmelden kan tot uiterlijk 1 september 2026.

De spelregels

De spelregels zijn grotendeels hetzelfde als vorig jaar:

• De afmetingen van het tegeldiorama mogen niet groter zijn dan totale oppervlakte van 2.400 cm². Je mag zelf invullen hoe de vorm is dat is dan nieuw dit jaar, wel dat het past op de beurstafel.
• Het diorama mag ook niet doorlopen via een buurman, kennis of iets dergelijks. Het diorama staat op zichzelf.
• De hoogte maakt niet uit omdat er verschillende bomen of wat anders op gezet kunnen worden.
• Het diorama staat op een houten ondergrond of iets anders wat een stevige ondergrond is. De ondergrond mag wel met piepschuim of iets dergelijks worden aangevuld om het bewerken ervan mogelijk te maken.
• Er is dit jaar geen andere prijsuitreiking van de grotere diorama’s dan alleen deze dioramawedstrijd op tegelformaat.
• Je mag wel samenwerken met een andere bouwer.
• Eén tegeldiorama per deelnemer.
• De waarde van het totale diorama (zonder trekkers en machines) mag niet meer zijn dan € 450,-.
• Als er een andere soort diorama ingezonden wordt dan wat het thema voor dat jaar geldt, doet het diorama niet mee voor de prijs. Je mag natuurlijk wel grotere diorama showen op de beursdagen.
• Bosschages, gras en slootjes (met eventueel slootvuil e.d.) en verharding of een weg/straat zijn wel toegestaan, mits het thema maar goed te zien is.
• Op het diorama mag geen naam staan van de bouwer of een linkje ervan. Je krijgt met het aanmelden voor de wedstrijd een inschrijfnummer en met dat inschrijfnummer wordt ook gecommuniceerd.
• Tijdens het bouwen is het niet toegestaan om foto's of details te delen met anderen. Laten we de diorama’s als een primeur houden voor de beurs.
• De vakjury en beursorganisatie beslissen over de juiste toepassing van de spelregels. Hiertegen kan geen bezwaar worden gemaakt

Verfijning spelregels

Naar aanleiding van de eerste tegeldioramawedstrijd willen we op een aantal vlakken de spelregels nog iets verder toelichten of actualiseren:

1. De afmetingen. We hebben gekozen voor deze afmetingen omdat het diorama op die manier makkelijk mee te nemen is en goed op de showtafels past. Als iedereen deze afmetingen hanteert, dan is dat voor iedereen gelijk. Bij de afgelopen editie hebben we afwijkende afmetingen en vormen gezien, zoals een band als basis. Dat was een creatieve invulling, maar dat was toen volgens de opdracht. Het idee stond ons echter wel erg aan.
   Daarom willen we nu met een variabele oppervlakte werken. De tegeldiorama’s voor 2026 zijn vormvrij, je mag nu rond of juist in een driehoek, vierkant of rechthoek werken. Als de totale oppervlakte niet groter is dan 40 x 60 cm, oftewel 2.400 cm²
   
2. De totale waarde van het tegeldiorama is een indicatie. We hebben hiervoor gekozen om ervoor te zorgen dat het wel betaalbaar moet zijn voor iedere deelnemer. Jonge en oudere, dus ook voor mensen of kinderen die maar een klein budget hebben, krijgen zo evenveel kansen. We gaan niet tot op de cent nauwkeuring beoordelen of het tegeldiorama aan de totale waarde voldoet, maar het is voor ons wel een belangrijke richtlijn.
3. We kregen ook de vraag of de tegeldioramawedstrijd alleen voor leden is. Dat is niet het geval. Iedereen mag meedoen, lid of geen lid, jong en oud, als het maar bij de opdracht blijft.
   Wellicht dat een enthousiaste tegeldioramabouwer door deze wedstrijd hierdoor lid wil worden van onze prachtige vereniging om kennis te kunnen delen, contacten te leggen en te genieten van andere mooie voordelen van het lidmaatschap.

Jurering en prijzen

Net als vorig jaar wordt de helft van de jurering bepaald door de stemmen van de bezoekers. De bezoekers kunnen op zaterdag 10 oktober hun stem uitbrengen voor een tegeldiorama. De andere helft van de jurering wordt bepaald door een vakjury. De scores worden bij elkaar opgeteld om de winnaars te bepalen.

Naast natuurlijk de eer zijn ook dit jaar weer prijzen te winnen voor de nummers 1, 2 en 3!

Following last year’s success, the exhibition committee is once again organising a tile diorama competition this year. This year’s theme is sowing, planting and potting.

This theme ties in nicely with the theme of the previous fair. Think of various ways of sowing, such as grass, wheat, beetroot, and so on. Of course, planting also falls under this theme. Examples include planting potatoes, Brussels sprout cuttings or flower bulbs.

And when it comes to planting, you could think of planting an orchard, for example.

Of course, there are exceptions to consider. Our tip: stick clearly to the theme, so that visitors can see at a glance which theme your tile diorama conveys. Exceptions and borderline cases within the theme are conceivable, but it is better not to seek them out.

Think, for example, of weeding or chemical pest control, etc. This type of work does not fall under the theme and will therefore not be judged. To take part in the competition, it is therefore important to stick to the theme.

In our opinion, the theme offers plenty of opportunities to create another challenging and beautiful display!

The deadline for registration is 1 September 2026.

The rules

The rules are largely the same as last year:

• The dimensions of the tile diorama must not exceed a total area of 2400 cm². You are free to choose the shape yourself – that is new this year – provided it fits on the exhibition table.
• The diorama must not extend onto a neighbour’s, acquaintance’s or similar area. The diorama must stand on its own.
• The height does not matter, as various trees or other items can be placed on top.
• The diorama must stand on a wooden base or any other sturdy surface. The base may be supplemented with polystyrene or similar material to facilitate modelling.
• This year, there is no other award ceremony for larger dioramas apart from this tile-format diorama competition.
• You are permitted to collaborate with another builder.
• One tile diorama per participant.
• The total value of the diorama (excluding tractors and machinery) must not exceed €450.00.
• If a diorama is submitted that does not fit the theme for that year, it will not be eligible for the prize. You are, of course, welcome to display larger dioramas during the exhibition days.
• Shrubbery, grass and ditches (possibly with debris etc.) and paving or a road/street are permitted, provided the theme is clearly visible.
• The diorama must not bear the builder’s name or a link to it. When you register for the competition, you will be given a registration number, and all communication will be via that number.
• During the building process, it is not permitted to share photos or details with others. Let’s keep the dioramas a surprise for the exhibition.
• The expert jury and exhibition organisers will decide on the correct application of the rules. No objections may be raised against this decision

Refinements to the rules

Following the first tile diorama competition, we would like to clarify or update the rules in a number of areas:

1. The dimensions. We chose these dimensions because they make the diorama easy to transport and ensure it fits well on the display tables. If everyone adheres to these dimensions, the playing field will be level for everyone. In the last edition, we saw different dimensions and shapes, such as a tyre used as a base. That was a creative interpretation, but it was in line with the brief at the time. However, we really liked the idea.
   That is why we now want to work with a variable surface area. The tile dioramas for 2026 are free-form; you may now work with a round shape or, alternatively, a triangle, square or rectangle. Provided the total surface area does not exceed 40 x 60 cm, or 2.400 cm².
2. The total value of the tile diorama is a guideline. We have chosen this to ensure that it remains affordable for every participant. This gives everyone, young and old alike—including people or children on a tight budget—an equal chance. We won’t be scrutinising the tile diorama down to the last penny to see if it meets the total value, but it is an important guideline for us.
3. We were also asked whether the tile diorama competition is for members only. That is not the case. Anyone can take part, member or non-member, young and old, as long as they stick to the brief.
   Perhaps an enthusiastic tile diorama builder might be inspired by this competition to join our wonderful association, so they can share knowledge, make contacts and enjoy other great benefits of membership.

Judging and prizes

As was the case last year, half of the judging will be based on visitors’ votes. Visitors can cast their votes for a tile diorama on Saturday 10 October. The other half of the judging will be carried out by a panel of experts. The scores will be combined to determine the winners.

As well as the honour, of course, there are prizes to be won again this year for the top three entries!
